Biography: Semanur Acar is an Assistant Vice President in Institutional FX Sales & Trading at Brown Brothers Harriman, specialising in institutional and real-money client coverage across G10, emerging market and restricted currencies. She advises asset managers and financial institutions on FX execution strategies, combining macroeconomic insight, market analysis and product expertise to deliver tailored currency solutions. Semanur serves as Chair of the Next Gen Committee at the ACI UK Financial Markets Association, leading initiatives that support the development of early-career professionals and strengthen engagement across the financial markets community. An active speaker, mentor and advocate for the next generation of market professionals, she regularly speaks at industry and academic events and champions initiatives that promote greater accessibility and diversity across financial services. She is also an active member of the Society of Technical Analysts (STA).
